Kim Rop
Director of LifeSong Preschool
Kim Rop is the Director of LifeSong Preschool. She was born and raised in the small town of Waddy, Kentucky. She and her husband Jim have 3 children, Cody, Taylor and Katie. Prior to working for LifeSong, Kim was a substitute teacher for Orange County Public Schools and worked as a Reading Recovery Specialist in the Shelby County, KY school system. Kim has her National CDA credential, Florida Childcare Professional Credential (FCCPC) and her Child Care Center and VPK Director's Credentials. She is certified in Infant and Adult CPR and First Aid. Kim is currently working on receiving an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. In her free time she loves to sew, research family history and spend time with her family.


marciMarci Dancy
Assistant Director
Marci Dancy is our Assistant Director who is involved in all of the classrooms helping the teachers and kids, plus assists the Director with daily tasks. She was born and raised in Kansas City. She went to the University of Missouri – Kansas City on an athletic scholarship and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has received her National CDA Credential in Early Childhood Education and State of Florida Directors Credential. She is certified in Infant CPR and First Aid. Marci and her husband, Jake, have two children, Mason and Adelyne. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially a day at the beach.


ceciliaCecilia Angel is a teacher in our 1 yr. old Turtle class and has been teaching for 11years. She graduated with a Respiratory Therapy certification and worked for an OB/GYN for many years. She has her Preschool national CDA credential and is working towards her Infant/Toddler CDA credential. Cecilia is certified in Infant and Adult CPR and First Aid. She and her husband Gene have two teenagers; Trent and Gina. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and attending her children's activities that range from wrestling to ballet. Their famiy enjoys traveling in the summer and relaxing at the beach.


lauraLaura Butts is a teacher in our Sea Horse Class for the Young Two's.. She is a native of Orlando and graduated from Boone High School and UCF. Laura has completed Florida's forty-hour childcare training and has been a substitute teacher at LifeSong. She enjoys sewing, crafting, reading and going to the movies. Laura and her husband, Shaun, have two children (that have both attended LifeSong's Preschool) and a dog.


loriLori Calhoun is a teacher in our Turtle class and Sand Dollar class. She was born in Lowell, Mass and was raised in Nashua, NH before moving to Orlando, FL. She is married to Steve and they are the proud parents of 3 children. She and her family have attended LifeSong for the last 4 1/2 years. She has an extensive background in Early Childhood from working as a teacher to becoming a Preschool director. She has her Associates in Early Childhood as well as her Director's Credential. Her hobbies are spending time with family/friends, reading, traveling decorating and spending time at the beach.


meganMegan Faust is a teacher in our 3's and 4's classroom, the Sand Dollars. She grew up moving around a lot in a military family. Megan recieved her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Radford University in Virginia and has taught 4th and 1st grade. She is slowly working on her Master's degree in Reading Education. Megan and her husband, Brandon, have 2 children and 2 dogs. Megan enjoys running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.


mindyMindy Green is a teacher in our Older 2's class. She was born in the ‘WHO DAT NATION’ – New Orleans, Louisiana and is the eldest of four daughters. She claims that is why her Dad has so many gray hairs! As a result of her Dad being in the Military, Mindy and her family traveled around the world most of her childhood. She met her husband, Jim, in 2004 and it was love at first sight. They were married in 2006 and were blessed with the birth of their son, James, in 2007. Mindy worked as the church's receptionist before she started teaching for our preschool. She loves children and enjoys the smiles, laughter and joy they bring her!


heatherHeather Hazlett is a teacher in our Young 2's class. Heather began teaching at LifeSong when the church first opened and prior to that taught at UCUMC in Oviedo. She has one son, Malachi and twin daughters Avery and Addison. She loves working with children and has been teacher for many years. She has her National CDA Credential and is CPR/First Aid certified.


pagetPaget Hultgren is a teacher in our 3 & 4 year old class, the Dolphins. She was born and raised in Connecticut and graduated from Gibbs College. Paget and her husband, Scott have a daughter. She loves roller coasters (the scarier the better) and going to the beach. Paget has her National CDA credential course in Early Childhood Education.


evelyn Evelyn McClin is a teacher in our youngest age class called the Turtles.  Evelyn has received her National CDA credential.  Evelyn is a graduate of Florida Christian University and she has taught for many years.  Evelyn is one of the founding teachers of our program here at LifeSong. 


Kim Nordlund is a teacher in our 3's and 4's classroom, the Sand Dollars. Kimberly is a native Floridian and raised in Palm Beach, however, she spent most of her growing summers on her dads farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia riding horses, bailing hay and working in the garden. Kimberly graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1992 with her Bachelors degree in Legal Studies and Political Science. She has been married to her husband Scott, for 15 years and together they have two beautiful children Andrew (11) and Erika (6). Shortly after Erika was born, Kimberly left her profession in the legal community to create an in-home learning environment for her daughter and many other families. Kimberly believes children are Gods greatest gift and really enjoys teaching and working with people. In her personal life, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family, participating in her children's year round sports, reading, running, diving in our local springs and frequent coffee breaks at Starbucks.


melanieMelanie Pobocik is our floating teacher and assists in all our classrooms as needed. She is originally from Michigan. She and her husband, Aaron have been married almost fifteen years, but have been together twenty two! They have two beautiful daughters, Madison-10, and Olivia-8, and a chi-poo, named Daisey. She enjoys days at the beach, good books, time with her family and close friends.


camilleCamille Vaiarella is a teacher in our Older 3's & 4's Class. She has been in Early Childhood Education for sixteen years and enjoys working with young children. She is a certified preschool infant toddler teacher with training through the University of Phoenix.

She was born and raised in Massachusetts, and has a wonderful family. Her husband Joe works at Universal Orlando and she has two daughters, Leah and Julie, both pursuing their careers in education. She enjoys reading, cooking, traveling shopping, and spending time with my family and friends.


paigePaige Valantasis is a teacher in our older 2's class - the Seastars. She has lived in Florida most of her life.  She has four children, 1 son and 3 daughters ranging in age from twenty to five years old.  She keeps very busy with their full schedules of sports, dance and many other activities.  Paige enjoys reading, playing the piano, going to the beach, spending time with family and friends and cooking.  Paige has taught in both public and private schools and has worked with children who have special needs.  She is currently working on writing children’s stories with one of her daughters.
